About the Book:
India has the biggest agricultural economy in the world. The agricultural industry now employs only 52% of the workforce. Additionally, there is evidence of rising patterns in investment in the agricultural sector. The importance of agri-business management and rural development has been acknowledged in this age of globalisation, liberalisation, and privatisation, and the government and large business have been consistently expanding their investment in these areas. Because of this, there are more job openings in rural regions and fewer people moving their workforces to cities. Numerous initiatives are being implemented by both the federal and state governments with the goal of enhancing agricultural and rural development as well as alleviating poverty in rural regions. The rapid growth of the country’s agro-food processing industry has created new possibilities for small and marginal farmers, who are now able to sell their goods at a higher price. “Rural and Agricultural Businesses Management” has done an excellent job of discussing the many ramifications of Agri-Business and Rural Management. It includes a wide range of research articles written by academics from a variety of academic institutions, including some from other nations.
