The twenty-first century has ushered in an unprecedented transformation in the way societies are governed, driven largely by rapid advancements in digital technologies. From artificial intelligence and big data to blockchain and social media platforms, technology is no longer a peripheral tool but a central force shaping political processes, administrative systems, and citizen engagement. The textbook “Governance in the Digital Age: Politics and Technology” is conceived as a comprehensive effort to explore this dynamic intersection of governance and technological innovation.

In recent years, governments across the world have increasingly adopted digital tools to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability. Concepts such as e-governance, digital democracy, and smart governance are redefining traditional notions of statecraft and public administration.
