This book, Artificial Intelligence and ICT: Unlocking New Potentials in Education, explores the profound impact of AI and ICT on modern education, highlighting their applications, challenges, and future directions.

In writing this book, our goal has been to provide a comprehensive, research-driven analysis of how AI-powered tools, intelligent tutoring systems, virtual classrooms, and data-driven learning models are reshaping the educational landscape. We examine how emerging technologies such as natural language processing (NLP), augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), and adaptive learning systems are fostering personalized learning experiences. Additionally, we address the ethical considerations, policy frameworks, and challenges that accompany AI’s growing role in education.

This book is structured into fourteen chapters, beginning with a foundational introduction to AI and ICT in education, followed by discussions on theoretical frameworks, personalized learning, intelligent assessment systems, and smart learning environments. Subsequent chapters explore the role of AI in student engagement, teacher professional development, and global education initiatives. We conclude with insights into the future of AI in education, potential barriers to adoption, and strategies for overcoming them.

As a collaborative effort by five authors, this book brings together diverse perspectives from researchers, educators, and technology experts.
