I am delighted to present this textbook, English–II, prepared with the sincere intention of supporting our students in strengthening their language proficiency and developing essential life skills. In an academic world that is continuously evolving, a well-designed English curriculum plays a vital role in shaping a learner’s confidence, communication ability, and overall personality. This book has been created with these goals in mind.

The content of this textbook has been carefully structured according to the prescribed syllabus and arranged unit-wise to help students learn progressively. Unit I: Resilience brings together motivating poems and stories that encourage students to develop inner strength and perseverance. Unit II: Decision Making introduces narratives and poems that help learners think critically, evaluate choices, and understand the consequences of decisions in life.

Through the pieces in Unit III: Problem Solving, students are exposed to real-life situations, autobiographical reflections, and inspirational experiences that nurture logical thinking, creativity, and emotional maturity. Unit IV revisits essential grammar components—Tenses and Concord—presented through simple explanations and practical examples to help students use English accurately in both speech and writing.

Hence, Unit V: English in the Workplace focuses on practical writing forms such as E-mails, Circulars, Memos, and Minutes of Meetings—skills that students will find extremely useful in higher studies, job applications, office settings, and everyday communication.
